Don't be a Micromanaging Mama

I think this lesson I'm learning goes along with the following quote:

"Children need to know that they are not simply residents or houseguests. Their unique contributions help to make the home what it is." (unknown)

May we have grace to allow our kids to do things to add their special touch to the home. This means giving up my desire for things to be the way I think is best all the time.  As long as our kids are making an effort to do a good job,  it might be more helpful to not go behind them and correct the things they have done (i.e. cook, clean, fold etc.) They will continue to learn and improve their skills the more they do it, especially if they have confidence in their own ability and contributions.

Just something to chew on...not a black and white concept!
